DMEK is not normally a nightmarish surgery. Usually, it's quite a beautiful operation. But, stuff happens. Things go wrong...during, after, even before the procedure. We hope this book is helpful during these rare (but unavoidable) eventualities and perhaps spares you some of the pain that we ourselves endured. While complications can never be completely eliminated, we can improve our own ability to manage them. In these difficult situations, we remember the words of the late Jim Rohn:"Don?t wish it were easier, wish you were better. Don?t wish for fewer problems, wish for more skills. Don?t wish for less challenge, wish for more wisdom." -Jack S. Parker, MD PhD-John S. Parker, MD -Gerrit R.J. Melles, MD PhD |
