Rattlesnake Funeral

In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, Rattlesnake Lawyer Dan Shepard returns to the infamous courthouse where his career began thirty years ago. Armed with masks and disinfectants, Dan attempts to defend a woman accused of a complicated murder while he also struggles to juggle a number of other cases (including that of a troublesome TikTok star). This, all within the frustrating new normal of video court, simultaneous appearances, and telephone hearings. Along the way, Dan reunites with a mysterious woman from his past, and ponders his ex, the former judge, Luna Cruz. And what of the beautiful Zia? Will she be the one to hold the keys to his heart? This darkly comic mystery about practicing law during a pandemic will delight fans of the Rattlesnake Lawyer series, as well as newcomers to the adventures of Dan Shepard and Luna Cruz. “Jonathan Miller may just be the next John Grisham.”Albuquerque Journal “Miller’s knowledge of Southwest life, and his deftness with witty and colorful dialogue between peculiar characters shines.” Arizona Daily Sun
